About Us

Fort Worth & Western Railroad

Fort Worth & Western Railroad (FWWR) began in 1988, with the purchase of 6.25 miles of track through west Fort Worth from the former Burlington Northern Railroad. Fast forward almost three decades, and FWWR is now a vertically integrated full service railroad operating over 276 miles of track through 8 counties in North Central Texas, from Carrollton to Brownwood. FWWR interchanges with three Class I railroads, Union Pacific, BNSF and CPKC in Fort Worth and one short line railroad, Texas Pacifico at San Angelo Junction.
